Pre-conference Session 1: Experiential Exercises To Learn About Crossing CulturesSimulations, exercises and games are a powerful way to introduce issues of cultural difference and awareness. Spend a morning, and afternoon (or both!) participating in these exercises so that you can integrate them into your Outbound and Inbound Orientations.Each exercise will be debriefed and you will have the opportunity to hone your facilitations skills so that you can maximize the learning opportunities. The morning and the afternoon will be two distinct sessions. Completely different exercises will be introduced in the afternoon.
Both sessions will provide examples of longer and shorter exercises. You can sign up for either one or both. Lead Facilitator: Dennis White

Pre-conference Session 2: Pre–crisis PlanningHow do you prepare for the unwelcomed, the unexpected and the unimaginable? Good pre-crisis planning allows us to act and respond in a thoughtful and reasoned manner to a crisis. All districts are required to have a plan. How complete is your district’s plan? What can you learn so that you can be better prepared for events you hope will never happen?

Pre-conference Session 3: RYE from A-ZNew to your leadership role in Rotary Youth Exchange? This session is targeted for those who have recently assumed (or would like to assume) a position as the District Chair or the District Committee member. It would also be helpful for those newly in leadership roles at the club level. This valuable three hour session will offer guidance in what you need to know, when and how you need to do it and what support and resources are available to you in your administrative position.

Pre-conference Session 4: Wednesday DinnerMany of the NAYEN Directors and Committee Chairs as well as WESSEX Committee staff will be arriving on Wednesday.
